How is this wedding different than American weddings?

Israeli weddings are like nothing you have experienced before! We have a page dedicated to Israeli Weddings, including attire, customs, and what to expect.

I've never been to Israel before, what should I do?

We have a Recommendations page set up that includes our favorite coffee shops, beautiful beaches, and historical sites. We have an organized tour departing on the morning of May 20th! Please let us know if you are interested in the itinerary or in joining this tour ahead of the wedding festivities.

Do I need a visa?

Yes! Please follow the link below to apply! You will need to fill out some basic information about yourself, your passport, the purpose of your visit and your dates of travel. The cost is ~$8 USD. https://israel-entry.piba.gov.il/apply-for-an-eta-il-1/

What if I don't speak hebrew?

Don't worry. Everyone in Israel speaks english

What's the best way to get around?

Tel Aviv is extremely walkable, and we encourage you to walk around and explore! There is a great bus system that can be tracked using the Moovit app or Google Maps (you can tap a card or use apple pay when you get on). There is also Gett Taxi (the Israeli lyft/uber). We recommend downloading the Gett app prior to traveling to ensure it is properly set up.

What are tipping customs?

You cannot add a tip after paying with a credit card. Please let the server know you would like to add a tip prior to paying. It is customary to tip 12-15% depending on the level of service. Tipping on services like taxis is not expected.

What's the weather going to be like?

End of May is the perfect time of year in Israel! Expect warm and sunny weather, with average High being 80°F (26°C), and Low of 70°F (21°C). Additionally, the average temperate of the sea is 71°F, so be ready to enjoy!
